SOUTH WILLIAMSBURG — A pedestrian was in essential situation after being struck by successful-and-run driver on Roebling Road Monday morning, officers and witnesses stated.

The sufferer, a person in his 40s who witnesses stated is a livery cab driver, was crossing mid-block between South Ninth Road and Division Avenue, when he was hit by a southbound Toyota Camry round 9:10 a.m., witnesses and FDNY officers stated.

“[The driver] was coming actually quick. He didn’t brake,” stated witness Papo Rivera, 70. “He didn’t cease.”

Rivera stated the sufferer, who frequents a bodega on the block, went flying about 5 ft within the air.

“He was unconscious,” he stated. “There was a lot blood on his head.”

The sufferer was taken to Bellevue Hospital in important situation, police stated.
