FAIRFIELD (CBS SF) — A Vallejo man faces as much as 14 years in jail when he’s sentenced subsequent month for a home violence assault towards a lady in March, in response to the Solano County District Lawyer’s Workplace.
Anthony Michael Mendoza, 35, was convicted in Solano County Superior Courtroom on Friday of felony home violence, felony threats, false imprisonment, dissuading a witness and misdemeanor assault of a lady with whom he had been in a 9-month relationship.
A verbal argument on March 26 shortly escalated to a bodily altercation in a Vallejo residence, prosecutors stated.
Mendoza punched the lady within the face, again of the top, abdomen and neck, grabbed her by the throat, pulled her hair and threatened to kill her, in accordance with the district lawyer’s workplace.
Mendoza was choking the lady when he heard a noise and noticed a Vallejo police officer outdoors, and he threatened to kill her if she referred to as the police.
The lady was capable of depart the residence the subsequent day with assist from a good friend and she or he reported the assault to Vallejo police. She was handled at a hospital for bruises, head accidents and swelling throughout her physique, prosecutors stated.
