LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — The Indiana State Police has recognized a person who died after after a double-capturing in Salem.

That man has been recognized as 18-yr-previous Marty Jay Patterson, III, of Louisville.

Police say Patterson and one other sufferer have been discovered on the aspect of street on the Salem Bypass, simply off of State Street 60, Wednesday night time. Indiana State Police say somebody driving by noticed the our bodies on the aspect of the street and referred to as 911. Salem Metropolis Police and deputies from the Washington County Sheriff’s Workplace discovered the lads round 9:30 p.m. 

Patterson died at an area hospital. An post-mortem revealed his preliminary explanation for dying to be a number of gunshot wounds.

The opposite man, who can also be from Louisville, was taken by medical helicopter to College Hospital in Louisville and has very critical accidents. WDRB is withholding the id of the second sufferer.

ISP Sergeant Jerry Goodin says, “our detectives, our crime scene investigators there on the scene have decided we now have a minimum of one shooter that left the scene. There have been no automobiles left on the scene, so we all know somebody needed to deliver them there.”  He says the lads have been present in a rural space. 

Police are nonetheless on the lookout for a suspect or suspects. And there’s no phrase on a potential motive or info on whether or not the lads knew one another.
