RENO (CBS/AP) — The San Francisco-based mostly arts nonprofit that holds the Burning Man countercultural pageant attended by hundreds in northern Nevada’s Black Rock Desert is making extra and spending extra.
The Reno Gazette-Journal studies that Burning Man Challenge’s 2015 tax paperwork report revenue of $36.9 million and expenditures of $35.eight million.
In accordance with the Gazette-Journal, these figures characterize a 14 % yr-over-yr achieve in income and a 19 % spending improve.
Burning Man spokeswoman Megan Miller says the group is making investments in its future to extend its income and to increase its attain globally.
