NORTHUMBERLAND, Pa. (CBS/AP) — A brand new worker at a Pennsylvania swimming pool manufacturing firm has been killed after he was trapped beneath a 1,200-pound mould.
The (Sunbury) Every day Merchandise studies the Northumberland County coroner deliberate an post-mortem Thursday on the 20-yr-previous employee, whose identify wasn’t instantly launched.

The person was killed Wednesday about 7:30 a.m. at Robust Industries Pool and Spas in Level Township. That’s about fifty five miles north of Harrisburg.
Wade Spicer, the corporate’s proprietor, says the dying is the primary on the firm because it opened in 1992.
“We did every thing we might do to attempt to save him,” Spicer advised The Day by day Merchandise.
Spicer added to The Every day Merchandise he “had no concept why the worker was caught beneath the mould. He shouldn’t have run into the mould. There was nothing improper with the gear, there was no machine error.”

Spicer says he’s reviewed safety video of the incident and says the employee leaned into the mould and should have accomplished so after dropping one thing, probably his cellphone. Spicer says the employee was sporting ear buds and won’t have heard any warnings.
