SANTA CRUZ (KPIX) — A Santa Cruz restaurant is shut down for what the proprietor is looking “political terrorism.”
Some staff and patrons boycotted the Chinese language restaurant, after public data obtained by Indybay revealed restaurant proprietor Roger Grigsby gave $500 to David Duke’s marketing campaign final yr.
Duke ran for a US Senate seat in Louisiana and misplaced. He’s an avowed white nationalist, anti-Semite and former Imperial Wizard of the Ku Klux Klan.
Now, after 38 years in enterprise, Grigsby’s restaurant, O’Mei on Mission Road is closed.
There’s a signal within the window telling patrons, “O’Mei has come underneath assault. Slanderous and malicious Web rumors regarding this enterprise, it’s proprietor, and employees have pressured us to shut for now.”
