Ponderosa Fire In Butte County Grows To 600 Acres

BUTTE COUNTY (CBS SF) — A wildfire burning uncontrolled about sixteen miles east of Oroville has pressured some evacuations Tuesday night.

A number of buildings have been burned by the Ponderosa Hearth buring close to Ponderosa Means and Lumpkin Street in Butte County. Evacuations are being ordered for the group of feather falls.

Crews are on the bottom and within the air, working to place out the flames.

Cal Hearth estimates the hearth now covers 600 acres.
