JESSUP, Md. (CBS/AP) — Police say an inmate who escaped from the parking zone of a Maryland psychological hospital freed himself from handcuffs and a waist chain whereas driving in a jail van.
Howard County police spokeswoman Sherry Llewellyn stated Friday afternoon that the handcuffs and chain have been discovered close to the van. She says 28-yr-previous David Watson was sporting all-white clothes and was final seen operating into some woods Friday morning.
Llewellyn says Watson is serving a sentence of greater than one hundred years in Delaware for crimes together with tried homicide. He’s been charged with tried homicide and different offenses on Maryland’s Japanese Shore associated to shootings of cops’ houses.

Police say Watson is 5-foot-eight and one hundred forty kilos.
Watson was being taken to the state hospital for an analysis. Llewellyn says it’s not clear whether or not the escape was deliberate or spontaneous.
