MORGAN HILL (CBS SF) — A wildfire burning on 117 acres in Morgan Hill and unincorporated Santa Clara County is now 70 % contained, a Cal Hearth official stated Saturday.
The hearth was first reported round 2:forty five p.m. Friday round Hale and Tilton avenues on the northern fringe of the Morgan Hill border.
It was reported to have grown to one hundred acres Friday however when firefighters measured it extra intently, it was 117 acres, based on Jim Crawford, Division Chief for Cal Hearth.
“Numerous good work” on firefighters’ half led to the 70 % containment, he stated.
The hearth is burning grass and oak timber. The trigger is underneath investigation.
