PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — The authorized saga of rapper Meek Mill continues.
The Philadelphia native has now formally appealed to a better courtroom.
Meek Mill and his protection staff have requested a state greater courtroom to revoke his probation and impose a brand new sentence.
Mill – whose actual identify is Robert Williams – has been behind bars for a few month, after Philadelphia Decide Genece Brinkley ordered the rap artist to jail for violating probation.
Since that point, Mill’s attorneys have fought to have him launched, submitting a number of courtroom paperwork to have him launched, together with an emergency petition for bail with the Superior Courtroom, which bounced it again right down to Brinkely, who denied the movement — and one other movement for Brinkley to take away herself from the case.
The protection has argued Brinkley has acted inappropriately in courtroom, and alledged misconduct outdoors of courtroom.
This authorized battle stems from 2008 gun and drug costs.
