LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Louisville Metro Police arrested three individuals who it stated illegally re-encoded bank cards.

Karel Casers, 38, Leonardo Ortego, forty three, and Roberto Guerra-Acosta, forty eight, have been arrested on Tuesday.

In line with an arrest report, police searched Cacers’ house within the 5300 block of Amalfi Avenue, close to East Manslick Street.

Authorities stated officers discovered three re-encoded bank cards, two card readers, bank card skimmer readers and a bank card author. In line with police, extra re-encoded bank cards have been present in a bed room.

An arrest report states that whereas officers have been on the scene, Ortego and Guerra-Acosta arrived.

Investigators stated Guerra-Acosta had six bank cards in his shirt pocket and that he claimed he didn’t personal them and had by no means seen them earlier than. The playing cards have been decided to have been re-encoded, in line with an arrest slip. 

Officers stated detectives discovered a pockets behind a automotive that contained a bank card with Ortego’s identify on it. Based on police, the bank card and two others have been decided to have been re-encoded.

Investigators stated Ortego was needed on two excellent warrants.

Casers, Guerra-Acosta and Ortego are every charged with false making or embossing of a bank card. Ortego faces a further cost of tampering with bodily proof.

All three are being held at Louisville Metro Corrections.
