Investigation underway after Shively police officer involved in shooting

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — An investigation is underway after a Shively police officer shot a person early Thursday night. 

In line with Shively police, the officer shot the person round 6:30 p.m. within the 4000 block of Valley View Drive, close to Crums Lane when he was responding to a name of an tried suicide. 

The person was taken to the hospital and is predicted to be OK. Right now, we have no idea if the officer was injured.
