TEXAS (CNN) — These pictures seize the moments of calm in between the all-consuming.
CNN’s Sonia Moghe captured a couple of guardsmen taking a a lot-deserved break after spending hours rescuing individuals trapped within the flooding from Hurricane Harvey. Their place of relaxation: a furnishings retailer in Richmond, a suburb within the Houston metro space.

The troops are among the many roughly 12,000 Guardsmen that Texas Gov. Greg Abbott activated to assist with the Harvey rescue and restoration effort.
“They’re out right here working the deepwater rescues and bringing individuals out of those houses, they usually wanted a spot to remain,” stated Marchione. “We thought, ‘Properly, let’s simply open up our mattress division for them.’”
