Elderly Couple Killed In Bensalem House Fire


BENSALEM, Pa. (CBS) — An aged couple was killed after a fireplace broke out in a single day at a house in Bensalem.

Hearth Crews have been referred to as to the house on Kings Lane round 12:30 a.m., and Bensalem Township Hearth Rescue Battalion Chief Robert Sponheimer says first responders have been met with an intense blaze.

“Hearth crews and police tried to enter the construction, once more they have been met with heavy flames and heavy hearth in order that they needed to initially make an exterior assault – preventing the hearth from the surface,” stated Sponheimer.

Regardless of the specter of the 2nd flooring collapsing, the hearth was positioned beneath management about an hour later. That’s when officers say a person and ladies of their 80s have been discovered on the primary flooring inside the house.
