BERKELEY (CBS SF) — Three lanes that have been blocked since early Sunday morning on an interstate freeway in Berkeley opened shortly earlier than three p.m., California Freeway Patrol officers stated.
Three lanes of eastbound Interstate Freeway eighty west of College Avenue reopened at 2:forty seven p.m. after a collision involving a Safeway huge-rig and a Honda.
CHP officers stated the collision was reported at 5:27 a.m.
About forty gallons of gasoline gushed from the truck and down an embankment.
A crew with Ponder Environmental Providers got here out and picked up 18 fifty five-gallon drums of filth that was contaminated by the gasoline, CHP spokesman Officer Matthew Hamer stated.
The gasoline posed no different environmental menace, Hamer stated.
