Eagles Cut Ryan Mathews, Who Was Cleared To Play


PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — The Eagles launched operating again Ryan Mathews on Tuesday.

Mathews, 29, was medically cleared to play and having his surgically repaired neck examined, permitting for his launch.

The Eagles save $four million by releasing the veteran operating again. With LeGarrette Blount, Darren Sproles, Wendell Smallwood, and Donnel Pumphrey on the roster, the Eagles have loads of operating again depth.

Mathews had one hundred fifty five carries for 661 yards and eight touchdowns in thirteen video games final season. In 2015, Mathews carried the ball 106 occasions for 539 yards and 6 touchdowns.
