Court Rules Dog Owner Must Have Pets’ Vocal Cords Surgically Removed

After years of “incessant barking” by the proprietor’s canine drew complaints and a lawsuit, the courtroom dominated the canine should have their vocal cords eliminated surgically.

The surprising choice got here after neighbors of Karen Szewc and John Updegraff filed a lawsuit towards them, claiming the “canine barked uncontrollably for lengthy durations of time whereas the defendants have been away from the residence.” Debra and Dale Krein filed the grievance after dwelling subsequent to the loud canine for 10 years. The courtroom awarded the Kreins $238,000 in 2015 after the household argued the barking had disrupted their high quality of life.
