CHELSEA — The town is changing a stretch of eleventh Avenue right into a two-approach road in an effort to scale back congestion close to the Lincoln Tunnel.
The conversion of eleventh Avenue between West thirty fourth and thirty seventh streets from one-option to two-means is slated to start out on Monday, the Division of Transportation stated.
The DOT will even set up a left-flip bay for automobiles touring from eastbound thirty fourth Road to northbound eleventh Avenue, in addition to including excessive-visibility crosswalks at intersections alongside that stretch.
The venture goals to enhance Lincoln Tunnel entry and visitors stream whereas decreasing congestion within the space, the division stated.
