OAKLAND (CBS SF) — 4 individuals have been arrested within the wake of a motorbike sideshow on an interstate freeway in Oakland Saturday that sparked a chase into Redwood Metropolis and Castro Valley, California Freeway Patrol officers stated.
Round 1 p.m., CHP plane noticed about 200 bikes in a sideshow on southbound Interstate Freeway 880. A passenger in a truck was filming the exercise, CHP officers stated.
Hayward and Castro Valley CHP officers caught as much as the motorcyclists and the group continued onto state Freeway ninety two from Hesperian Boulevard.
CHP officers stated a number of bikes fled westbound on Freeway ninety two and officers pursued, ultimately giving up the chase in Redwood Metropolis.
A Redwood Metropolis CHP officer later discovered one of many bikes and took one suspect into custody for reckless driving.
Different motorcyclists within the group drove into the CHP’s Castro Valley enforcement space and continued with what the CHP described as “sideshow exercise” on Interstate Freeway 580, CHP officers stated.
The group continued onto metropolis streets, and CHP officers from the Hayward space workplace arrested 4 people on suspicion of reckless driving and felony evasion of a regulation enforcement officer.
